raising a queen

wondering about raising a queen from supersedure cells. I made a split from my first year package , leaving the colony queenless. Sunday I noticed queen cells, but I already ordered a queen. just wondering about trying a small nuc to raise a queen from the queen cells( I figured 2-3 queen cells). If it doesn't work I can always recombine the hives. Am I missing something? give me your thoughts, please.

That's out of my scope. I've been wanting to do the same. I think it may a be late in the year. But if you have the resources it could be done. I just don't know.
