Hello, everyone! My name is Rod, and we are excited to offer the Beginning Beekeeping Class, starting February 1st. I’ve been beekeeping for nearly 20 years and primarily work with 10-frame Langstroth hives and my focus is producing honey. Dave, my co-instructor, has also been a beekeeper for over 20 years, specializing in queen rearing. He brings a wealth of expertise and hands-on field knowledge to the class. Together, we’ve designed an amazing course packed with valuable information, practical field days, and a truly personal experience to help you start your beekeeping journey.
We are looking forward to sharing knowledge and answering your questions. After taking this class, you’ll find yourself becoming passionate about beekeeping because it challenges you to learn and grow with every season, while enjoying the tests and frustrations of working with bees.
This discussion board will be your hub for updates, scheduling changes, and all things beekeeping. Once you start working with your hive, you’ll undoubtedly have questions—this is a safe and supportive space to ask them.
To stay in the loop, head to the Settings tab (in the upper right-hand corner) and customize your notifications for new posts on Combconnection.
We’d also love to hear from you! If you’d like, leave a comment introducing yourself and sharing why you’re interested in becoming a beekeeper.
