Admin We’re excited to announce our annual Foundations of Beekeeping class, taught by Dave Glasebrook and Rod Heimbigner. Together, we have over 40 years of experience, Dave with deep expertise in queen rearing and field management, and Rod whose focus is on honey production and practical, real-world hive work.
This course includes:
• Clear, useful information on equipment, hive setup, common pitfalls, diseases, and pests
• Hands-on field days working with live hives
• Personal mentoring to help you build skills and confidence
Perfect for brand-new beekeepers or anyone wanting a stronger foundation.
Class Details
• Classroom Sessions:
• February 21 — 8:30 AM–2:30 PM
• February 28 — 9:00 AM–2:30 PM
(Includes a 1-hour lunch break
• Field Days: both TBD, Mid-April (bee distribution) and May (Mite checks)
• Cost: $50
• Location: 3 miles NE of Moscow (directions provided upon signup)
